The iron heats up really fast. It heats up to the temperature that it is advertised.My wife loves it. She can do her hair in half the time as the flat iron glides through the hair like a hot knife on butter. After she is done, her hair is shiny and it looks amazing. It eliminates frizz and makes the hair looks silky smooth.
