HERSTYLER 1" TOURMALINE FLAT IRON PINK

I bought this as a late Christmas gift for my self after I had read some reviews on the product and I hope that this review is helpful.

This straighter is amazing! It immediately heats, takes no longer than 15 to 30 seconds, and runs smoothly down every solitary piece of your hair. The straightener supposedly shuts off when it heats to quickly, but i have not experienced these problems. Thanks to the 100% ceramic plates infused with tourmaline, the straightener glides down your hair smoothly and doesn't catch, tear, or break any parts of your hair. I absolutely love it and I think that it is a great gift for a teenager or a single young women to use when going out to get glamorous. All I really have to say is Excellent product.

Excellent quality. I have never used a straightener that curls or straightens better than this one....as long as you know what you're doing (I recommend asking your stylist for some tips if you don't). I have noticed that some "gunk" from hair products can get stuck to the edges of the plates when I'm using it for flat iron curls... but you just have to clean it off every once in a while. I've used it at least 3-4 times a week for the past 2 months and I haven't noticed any crumbling. The ceramic plates on my straightener are intact and in nearly perfect condition after 2 months of medium-heavy use.

UPDATE (Jan 22, 2011): almost 3 years later... and it still works like a charm! After multiple drops on the tile floor over 3 years, one corner of one of the plates finally got a chip in it, but it was completely my fault... and it is still fully functional! It has not affected it's quality or use in the least! I have not had any other problems whatsoever, and still love my herstyler! :) You truly cannot get better quality for the price on amazon! When mine finally does burn out or get over-abused, I will definitely, definitely buy another one!!

Thank you for the opportunity to purchase such a quality product at such a remarkable price. Comparable to mall kiosk purchase of same product.(First tried one purchased at mall by friend). I have had problems in the past with the retention of straight hair particularly on humid days and the Herstyler has solved this problem as well.
