This tiny straightener is great for inserting into short hair. Let's you grab close to root and slide down which is just what I was looking for. Those longer larger straightener aren't able to get in there close to the head. It is ceramic but not as high quality and smooth as some of my more expensive straightener but for the money, it's a quick fix for short curly hair.
Heats up quickly, and straightens faster and easier than any other flat iron I've owned.
I purchased this product from Walmart and used it prior to reading any reviews. My mistake.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I had the expensive salon treatment done and this one worked just as good, if not better. My hair feels like silk. I am sorry this product didn't seem to work for some. I used it and it was great. Granted, it wasn't as amazing as the salon $100+ treatments I have had done in the past, but it worked well, kept my hair straight, and I think, lasted longer than 30 days. my wife has tried this product and never had any issues as such other reviewers are complying to have had, i guess this product depends on the way you use it and how you use it. but great product as a whole.
I purchased this item because reviews on other sites said the product doesn't smell bad (it doesn't), doesn't contain formaldehyde (it doesn't)and provides salon results (it doesn't!). Although there was some straightening, Paul Brown Hapuna was inferior to other Keratin treatments. It also washed out within days. I used this product on three clients who were all equally disappointed. I used the product according to the instructions, with a hot iron that reached 450 degrees. I used the proper pre-Keratin treatment and non-sulfate shampoo post-treatment. The product just doesn't compare to QOD or Softliss.
I would not buy this again for 2 reasons. One is the extremely short cord. Even standing right next to the outlet it can become an issue. Secondly, there are bottons both on the side and on top, with no good way to keep a comfortable handhold on it. An example of how both of these are a problem: I was reaching to straighten a piece of hair towards the back of my head, and the short cord caught on the side of a drawer, and pulled the whole straightener down (out of my loose grip) until I was holding the hot plates. All this happened in a second -luckily the burn was not bad.
