So I got the straightener today and was super excited and I've used it and it works great the only downside is that the color is absolutely off, I thought I was getting a burnt orange color in spots when they are brown in color, I was completely disappointed and the picture is misleading.
This product makes my hair more manageable, soft, and smooth. I have semi thin, wavy/curly hair. I apply this product, after orifluido hair elixir, on my wet hair, blow dry with a large round boar hair bristle brush and sometimes use a flat iron. This stuff went straight to the trash can after one use. I only wish I had purchased it at Ulta or Sephora where I would have been able to get my money back because I didn't like it. I was on an"anti-silicone" kick for awhile, and was looking for products that did not have silicone in them. This product is terrible. It did NOTHING for my wavy-frizzy hair. So far, the best stuff that I have found for long lasting frizz control and heat protection are Redken Satinwear 02 Heat Styling Thermo Actif and Redken Iron Silk 07 Heat Styling Thermo Actif. I ordered a set in strawberry blonde, originally. They did not match my version of strawberry blonde, since I am a blonde with reddish tones naturally. I work in a beauty supply store so i was always recommending it to people who were looking for irons. I only found out how awesome this thing straightened after i bought it for myself! My hair is usually sort of wavy and gets frizzy from time to time, but with the ceramic technology (which eliminates frizziness, hair damage and is humidity resistant) it heats twice as fast as the other drugstore ones i've tried and does the job in half the time! Dont be fooled by the ones that say ceramic but only sell for about $30-40... they say ceramic, but the truth is theyre only ceramic coated (still with the metal plating underneath which will cause damage). However these ones (including brands like chi, superstar, hairart, and solano) are the only ones that are truly ceramic PLATED. & they have a heat setting as well. This thing goes up to about 400º whereas the metal ones only go to 200º. And on the plus side the plates are beveled (or round edged) so if you feel like going straight one day, you can also use the edges for little flips another day. The drugstore ones are thickly SQUARE plated and if you tried to do that you would only get crimps in your hair as you do with curling irons sometimes. Trust me you'll love it!!!!!!

I have been straightening my hair with a dryer for years. Someone in a salon used this on me and I was stunned at the silky results. The price turned me off, but then again, I have NEVER gotten results like this with the $20 regular iron from the department store. A friend knew how much I adored this, but didn't want to drop the cash, and got it for me as a gift.

Hot Tools is usually a very good brand. I have friends who swear by them. So when I purchased this flat iron I figured I would be getting a great product that would last a long time. I purchased the flat iron on 7/22/12 and it worked really well while it lasted. I really liked the 1 ½" size of the iron. But on 9/8/12 it completely stopped working. It would not heat up. I even had it plugged in and on for over 30 minutes and it was ice cold. Amazon doesn't do exchanges and required that I pay to send it in and would only give me a partial credit since it was after the return period (I think the return period is only 30 days). I am following up with the manufacturer because this is not the first item I have bought from Hot Tools that stopped working within 3 months. The other item I had purchased started sparking and was easily returned to the store I purchased it at. This flat iron has been discontinued by other stores (I.E Ulta) which was why I purchased it at Amazon. Maybe this malfunction is why the brick and mortar stores stopped carrying it. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It gets hot very quickly and it curls and/or flattens beautifully leaving hair shiny and smooth. I have very curly and at times frizzy hair and usually use my own flattener or curling iron but wanted to try hers. The difference I saw in my hair led me to sneak into her room every morning and steal it to do my hair before work. After doing this off and on for two months, I am buying my own finally. I've used many brands of flatteners and curling irons but I'm not sure what it is about this one, it's just something you have to try to see the difference. P.S. my daughter and I both have medium to long hair if that makes a difference, but we each have layers/bangs in the front and have no issues at all using it

I have been using the Control Freak shampoo for years, and it's great. I have a lot of hair that gets tangled easily and this product makes a definite difference, not only in terms of "manageability," but the health of my hair as well. I'm sure what I was expecting, but my hair is generally unmanageable and this product and all of it's sister products in the series didn't help much. On one of the bottles, the dispenser broke prematurely. The product doesn't smell good at all. And of course, it doesn't live up to its control freak moniker. I don't recommend this product.I never complain about products and I would have written to Bed Head themselves except they're in Europe so I'm not paying extra postage when they'll be more likely to read this anyway.
On the advice of my professional hair stylist, I purchased the croc infrared flat iron for my upper teen who has naturally curly hair, but likes to straighten it. She loves the way it feels on her hair. About 2 months after Christmas (it was her present), the flat iron suddenly died on her. She wasn't able to turn it on at all. The company had a good return policy, and about 10 days after shipping back the broken iron, we received her new one. She has used this flat iron faithfully every day since February, and now 9 months later, the second croc flat iron suddenly died, and won't turn on. The product works exactly as advertised, and doesn't damage my daughter's fine hair at all. She loves the feel of the titanium/ceramic plates, and doesn't want to use another product. It is frustrating that it only lasted 9 months. Therefore I have to rate it just 4 stars. It could just be a glitch with this particular manufacturing set. I'm not really sure what the life expectancy of a flat iron should be, but I would hope to get at least 2 good years out of a flat iron for the price and technology.

I absolutely loved this flat iron when I popped open the box and used it for the first time. It truly made my hair smooth and soft as promised.I used it once a week and got perfect results every time. Now 3 months later my croc died it just stopped working one day. I've been looking for the perfect iron for about a year and I think I found it! The iron heats up extremly fast, when am rushing I can simply turn it on wait 5 seconds and its ready. The iron has one power button, but when pressed twice it turns on the infrared lights. Honestly, when I turn the infrared lights, the iron leaves my hair glossy and really natural looking, which I LOVE. It takes me less than 15 minutes to straighten my hair (I have wavy hair and average amount of hair).The size of the iron is also perfect for curls if you know how to make them. I love the digital heat settings which range from 250 to 450, I think! I simply use 300, which is perfect for my hair. This iron is great for straightening short hair. I like the color and the temperature gauge. It's easy to turn on and off and has Velcro to keep the cord secured. It arrived quickly and packaged well.
Just got this iron and tried it out. It feels like it is ripping out my hair, the easy glide rollers are horrible. It is only 170 watts. I search for a european flat iron to take to Europe thinking it would have that type of plug. Dont be confused this is a European style iron which I am guessing means the rollers that ripped out my hair. Dont waste your money.

I have a Remington Pink Pearl Straightner, and I just adore that thing. So when I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, I saw the Wet 2 Wave tool and decided you can't go wrong. I love this! I haven't tried it on wet hair, but i have done my hair a few times dry and I get lots of compliments! It is so easy to use and adds lots of volume to your hair. With some hair spray, the wave even last until the next day for me.

Please note I purchased these hot rollers from another brick-n-mortar store. I think they work fine. They heat up exceptionally fast. I did learn recently that if I plugged them in too soon and left them sit, they get really hot. So hot, in fact, that two of the rollers melted then fused together when they cooled down. I was able to pull them apart and still use them. I do wish the unit had a heat control function; unfortunately, it's either on or off, that's it. Luckily, even though they go get quite hot, you can still handle them if you do so fairly quickly. Received on Thursday, used on Friday...very happy. Three days later on Monday, as I'm getting ready for work, I discover it's not hot. I check to ensure it's on and the temp. dial is up, still no heat. I turn it off and back on...still no heat. I check the plug...you guessed it, still no heat. Seriously....one use!?!? So much for the Herstlyer "Forever" Flat Iron. A great product when it's hot, but the quality makes that a moot point. Thank goodness I kept my non-Herstyler flat iron.

I purchased one of these several years ago at a local fair and fell in love with the product. This seems like the real thing, but the only complaint I have is that the plates do not line up evenly. Near the base of the straightened, there's a gap even when I use force to try and make the plates clamp down evenly. I am very happy with this product. I previously had a CHI hair straightener but didn't want to spend $100 on another one. I got this product because I had seen it available on Groupon. On ISO's website they advertised it as $300 which I knew had to be some sort of marketing ploy. On Groupon it was advertised for $49 (which I thought was a great deal).
