Joico Reconstrx K-pak Professional Reconstrx Vapor Iron
The next morning I filled the little reservoir with the Vapor Fuel, and began to flat iron. I immediately saw incredible sheen, and felt amazing softness in my hair. There was a very minimal amount of steam emitted, but once I was done with my whole head, only 1/4 of the liquid was left. There wasn't even that "burnt" smell flat ironing can some times leave.
My hair stayed moist, shiny, and felt strong until my next wash. Usually, my hair begins to look and feel dull after a couple of days.
This flat iron made my hair products work the inside out as well. They penetrated deep, and were sealed in because of the steam used. I think I can count on one hand how may broken hairs I had the whole week.
This is the best hair appliance that I've ever used. I'll never give it up!If you know the science of hair you will understand why this is such a great tool to have. Not only does this make your hair shiny and beautiful but it physically repairs and protects against damage. The vapor is infused with human hair keratin. This is the only protein that will repair your hair, not just coat the cuticle. Organic and animal proteins are too big in molecular size to penetrate the hair strand and sit on the cuticle as where keratin will go in and fill the holes in your hair strand fixing and repairing at the source. The fact that you are now mixing this with heat to open the cuticle allows for maximum deposit into the hair. I have used this on clients with extremely damaged hair, coarse hair and fine hair and the results are amazing..... Now for the down side (why this gets 4 stars not 5). There was a manufacturing defect in the original design causing irons to leak the vapor which would get into the electrical system of the iron and cause it to short out. Joico has since fixed this and replaced the irons currently on the shelf. If you do not have your receipt try contacting a joico rep and they should replace them. Hope this review helps!

I bought this from my hairdresser which is lucky for me because the first one popped, sizzled and shorted out after 6 weeks. The replacement did the same after 6 weeks. My hairdresser always replaces them for me. I would not buy this from anywhere but a licensed professional who can help with replacements. It has saved my damaged hair and I love the way my hair looks and feels. If that were not the case, I would never keep replacing it. For 100+ it should not short out. The cheap ones I bought from Sally's or Walmart never broke, but of course never made my hair look all that great. Buyer beware that there is a serious flaw in the design since the vapor can short out the circuits.Read Best Reviews of Joico Reconstrx K-pak Professional Reconstrx Vapor Iron Here
This was the BEST straightener I've ever used. My hair looked awesome, and felt smooth and silky. Everything was great . . . that is until it sparked and shorted out on me this morning after only one week! Yes readers, that's right. One week. I remember reading the reviews when I bought it that warned me against just such a thing, but I thought "Surely these people are doing something wrong. It won't happen to me." And I shelled out some serious dough anyways. BIG MISTAKE! There is no product warranty, but if you ship it to the company in California (at your own expense) and pay for the return shipping of $15, they will supposedly fix it or send you a new one. Of course, that's another $30 bucks I would have to sink into this thing, and the same thing would probably happen again, as it has for most other reviewers who have returned them only to be disappointed again. Considered yourself warned.Want Joico Reconstrx K-pak Professional Reconstrx Vapor Iron Discount?

TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum 9 oz.
This stuff is meant to be used as a serum when you straight iron your hair.
If you put it in your hair and don't style your hair, you're not going to get the results.
I wash my hair at night, put this serum on it, twist my hair up into a bun, and go to sleep.
The next morning it's still damp, so I blow dry it, then straight iron it. And, it looks amazing.
My hair is naturally frizzy and curly, but if you follow my method above, you may just end up with
straight, frizz-free pretty hair with volume like me. No, it's not a permanent fizz for frizz...
you have to use this stuff every time you style your hair.
Oh, and it smells nice on top of that. This is a great product I have been using it for years. The vendor was wonderful. I had the product early, which always makes me happy. Good price, great product.

Great seller, I love this product, I have been using it for about 6 years, it really helps control frizz and smooths hair for a straight lookFirstly, I've never been disappointed by Bed Head products. This product is in the same boat. I'm the type who dyes my hair frequently, thus it tends to get really frizzy and damaged, especially given the fact that I constantly straighten my hair. TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum has saved my hair! It may not work for everyone but it certainly does for me.Style House 1.25" Professional Styling Iron
I didn't actually buy it on Amazon...I got it from a salesman that was going door to door to businesses offering them for $20. I was a little skeptical, but he let me try it out first and it got really hot so I bought it and I'm so glad I did.
I've used it for a couple days now and I can't believe what a good deal I got. This flat iron works better than the Chi I used to have. My hair gets straighter in less time than before. And my hair feels a lot silkier than it did before.
The one negative is that the blades of the iron don't open up as wide as my old flat iron. After a couple days I got used to it and it's not really much of an issue anymore. It was definitely a little annoying at first.
Also, the plastic feels cheaper than other flat irons I've used.
Overall, this flat iron performs very well.
I don't know that I'd pay $65 for it. I'd probably pay $50. I should also note that I'm an avid bargain shopper.I just brought this styling iron and I am totally in love with it. I have problems straitening my hair it usually poofs back up with in 30 min of flattening it no matter what i use but when i used this styling iron it was almost as if I had gone to my beautician. It is definitely worth your money

This product is AMAZING! I have never written a review for Amazon -that is, until after I used this product. It is amazing--can't say it enough. I used it for the first time today. I have coarse, unruly, thick wavy shoulder-length hair. This is the BEST hair straightener I have come across -and believe me, I have spent money on them. It is easy to use, leaves your hair silky smooth after just one pass through, does not give you that grainy sound while the plates are moving through your hair strands, and even allows you to create controlled waves. It really does eliminate frizz. For all you curly-haired girls out there who enjoy a good blow-out every now and then but don't have the time or energy to use a hairdryer and a rollerbrush -this one is for you!Read Best Reviews of Belson Pro 1" AccuSilver Professional Straightening Iron Here

ive had this flat iron for about 3 years now. i have used it like 8 times. because i absolutely hate it. the "cool touch housing" is a joke. i TRIED to curl my hair with this once and the outer casing burned the hell out of my hand. its not worth the money. it barely even straightens. the plates are faded and chipping at the edges. i really would NOT recommend this to anyone other than a teen girl on a budget. it does the job. half ass. you would be better off saving up and buying a GHD or a ROYALE iron. i have a royale. and ive been using it for about 2 years. it is THE best of the best.Want Hot Tools Pink Zebra 1 Inch Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron, 3161PZ Discount?

My hair dries in 1/4 of the time toobecause the hair follicles are full of this keratin productmy hair cannot curl or frizz. Its been about a month and its still working beautifully. I used to have to spend an hour straightening my hairand now i spend 3 min maxgoing over a few strands that have a bump in them fom a ponytail holder. My hair still still smells faintly of chocolate too.
Im never going to stop using this i swear. I went out in the rain yesterday without an umbrellaand i still looked flawless when i got to work. BEAT THAT!I was very pleased with this purchase. There are a lot of fakes of this product running around so you do have to be careful who you buy from. Before I made the purchase, I wrote and asked how I would know it was authentic. They wrote back with a link which shows that they are an authorised distributor and when I received the product, they had enclosed a letter assuring the authenticity.
Anyway, that done. The product itself is fab and smells great! Well worth it and it will last you for ages as you only need to use it every once in a while. For me, I'd say every 6 to 8 weeks or so. I can now blow dry my hair without having to straighten it with straightening irons, so my hair is being kept more healthy.
One tip don't use too much or you will find it almost impossible to blow dry and seal in. Otherwise, fab product, would definitely recommend! Remember to use shampoo that is sulfate and sodium free or you will just end up stripping the product from your hair too soon.

Let me say I was very skeptical about this product. I have extremely thick/coarse dark brown (I'm' part Italian) mid back length (also a bit wavy) hair that is bleached platinum blond, I have a some damage from the bleaching as well. My first concern was whether this product was authentic or not. I found that this company (Keratin4u) is legit. They are listed as a distributor on the QOD Brazil website. My second concern was how well the product would work, and if it was really worth the $200.00 price tag. Let me tell you I just washed my hair after having the treatment sit on my hair for 3 days and it is amazing to say the least! To start from the beginning I would recommend doing plenty of research on how to apply the product properly before you even consider doing this on your own. I started off by shampooing with Neutrogena anti residue shampoo 2 times with no conditioner. Dried my hair very carefully, then used a color brush and bowl to apply the Keratin section by section. You do not need much product at all, I combed each section with a fine comb to remove excess product. I must say the only downside was the harsh fumes, my eyes and nose burned severely. I did the treatment in a bathroom with an open window and fan blowing, however the end results were worth the burning. You will want to make sure your hair is blown 100% dry after the keratin is applied. I used a Bespoke labs professional flat iron to finish out the hair mine only went up to 410 degrees rather than the 450 degrees some recommend. I didn't wash my hair for 3 full days after the treatment, also no pony tail holders etc. The 3 days were torture, my hair felt sticky and gross (to be expected though)I washed with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, in the shower my hair felt very sleek and smooth when washing. Normally I have the type of hair you have to add a detangler to before you can even run your fingers through it. However this time I added nothing, my hair was knot free and sleek straight out of the shower. My hair generally takes about 40 minutes to blow dry this time only about 20. My hair dried as if I had just been straight from the salon, sleek, no breakage from the blow dryer, totally straight, and super soft. It used to take me at least 30 minutes just to flat iron my hair, now I didn't even need to use it. My hair looks amazing; it is straighter and sleeker than when I would do a full flat iron job. I will buy this product again and again! It is more than worth the money.Read Best Reviews of Brazilian Keratin treatment Kerapremium Original BKT Here
I first bought this product just to try it out since it was so expensive to get a keratin treatment in a salon. I have used this product for more then a year and a half now. I have my cousin do my treatment every 4 months and my hair looks GREAT. It really eliminates the frizz especially on humid and rainy days. Make sure to use the proper shampoo and coniditioner because it actually makes it last for about 4 months. Make sure not to saturate the hair all you need is a little bit. I have done it about 4 or 5 times already and it's only half way done. I would definitely recommend this and well worth it.Want Brazilian Keratin treatment Kerapremium Original BKT Discount?
I did my own at-home keratin treatment using QOD Max (they've since renamed the product, but the product is the same) that I purchased from this seller. I assume it's a legitimate seller on the QOD Brazil website, I did find keratin4u (QOD America) referenced as one of the two approved US sellers (the other is QOD USA), but on the official QOD USA website, it states that QOD USA is the only authorized and legitimate US seller. There is even a warning against purchasing from sellers on Amazon. Seems to be a contradiction there, so who knows. Either way, the product from this seller does work.As for my treatment, here's my experience: First, I was really worried about the damage the heat would do to my hair. My hair is very damaged due to regular at-home dye jobs and highlights on top of the dye (my hair has a lot of gray, so I have to dye often). My hair is also extremely fine. It's very unruly and frizzy due to having its own weird texture, and because of that, I heat-style daily. Anyway, my point is, it's very dry and damaged tons of split ends, and feels rather straw-like. SO, the 450 degree temps of the flat iron needed for the keratin treatment freaked me out, especially since, without my realizing right away, my flat iron shut off several times while I went over my keratin-coated hair. That caused me to have to go over the hair strands, making seven passes, all over again! I was just imagining that my hair would be trashed when I was finally able to wash the keratin out several days later. Well, my fears were unfounded. My hair seems to be fine. Better than fine, actually. It seems MUCH healthier than it did before the treatment. It feels like silk and looks pretty amazing actually.
There are a few things I didn't really like about the treatment. First, my eyes did sting a bit as I was doing it especially while blow drying with the keratin on my hair OUCH! My poor eyes! I also didn't like the chocolate smell. For three days it smelled like I had chocolate pudding in my hair not my favorite smell for hair. Fortunately though, after I shampooed, the smell was gone. Phew! And finally, doing this treatment really trashed my color. Granted, I use box-color at home light ash brown, and I highlight at home on top of that, so maybe salon-colored hair would be different? I don't know. But, while performing the treatment, I could literally see my hair color change to orange at the flat-ironing step. So for three days while I waited to shampoo it out, I had to stare at myself with gross orange hair. I was really nervous about that while waiting to wash...
If this happens to you, or if you're worried about it happening, I was able to fix it pretty easily without ruining the effects of the keratin treatment. I've only shampooed once since my treatment, but I used Pravana Pure Light Sulfate Free shampoo and conditioner, and I actually did my final rinse in a bowl of water with Mrs. Stewart's Bluing in it (I got all those products from Amazon). Totally took care of the orange. I'm not sure if those products will effect how long the keratin treatment lasts though, so I may update later if I notice that my treatment doesn't last as long as it's supposed to. I probably won't continue using the Pravana products I'll switch to one of the recommended sulfate/salt free shampoos/conditioners, but I'll most likely keep rinsing in Mrs. Stewarts (I did that even before my keratin treatment).
One last thing, if you're like me, and you like to shape your hair a bit with a curling iron before you leave the house, the keratin treatment does seem to make it a little harder to do this. Mine now holds a tiny bit of style, but not as much as it used to. You may still be able to get it to work if you use product, but without product, my hair is definitely a bit on the limp side. Don't get me wrong, it looks great as far as hair goes, but the shape of my face requires my hair to have a little shape in order to look most flattering. I was able to achieve that shape most of the way, but I would probably like it if it were a tiny bit less limp.
Update 7/5/12: Just wanted to say that my treatment ended up lasting a good three months. I washed my hair using approved products every two to three days. I'd say that it wasn't completely washed out until about six months post-treatment. At that time I started to notice that my hair had been damaged by the treatment (my new growth was quite a bit less puffy and frazzled than the part that had been previously treated). It was still worth it though. I would definitely go for it again except for the fact that I became really scared after reading about people who experienced hair-loss. I didn't have any hair-loss, but I know that allergies often develop after repeated exposure to an allergen, so I decided I didn't want to take my chances.
John Frieda Flat Finish 1-Inch Straightener
However........the design is ridiculous. Did they not have anyone test this product? The controls are right on the front of the top handle. At first I was constantly turning the straighter off and on, then when I adjusted for that I was turning the temperature up and down and didn't even know it. I kept trying and adjusting how to hold it and burned my hand a couple times trying to figure out a way to use it without hitting the controls. I sort of manage now by putting my thumb over the temperature display window, but it is akward and a completely unnecessary hurdle in using a fairly simple thing. I have an unruly wave/curl to my hair that likes to go a bit crazy the more humid it gets. I mostly ignore it or use one of a supply of cute headbands to suppress it but sometimes even that doesn't work and I, who am the most impatient of hairstylers, have to pull out the flat iron. This one was so stylishly flashy with the way the temperature and buttons are designed! It heats up exceptionally fast, even to my impatient way of thinking, and cools down just as fast for storage quick in the mornings. And in about a minute of styling time my hair is tamed in to straight sanity. And the best part is it stays that way!
Update: I did take one star away because the more I use this straightener the more I find that the buttons are positioned so that I keep accidentally pushing the off button while I'm doing my hair and then I of course lose heat because the device is off. It might just be me, but I thought I should include it in my review as an f.y.i.

I really like the way this iron heats rapidly and cools down just as quickly. My hair is relatively short and I wear it in sort of a sleek bob, so the 1 inch plates are perfect for me. There was absolutely no frizziness as there has been with some other irons. But, good-grief-Carrie Nation! Wonder if the designer has ever used this. Just try to manipulate the iron without moving the controls. Extremely frustrating! The controls are simply in the wrong place.
Hence, a 50-50 for this iron, sorry to say.

This may be a perfectly good straightner, but the design is terrible. They have the switch to make it hotter or cooler right on the front of the handle where you hold it, so every time you put it up to your head to use, you change the temperature setting and you don't know it. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Very poorly designed. I really can't say if it's a good straightner or not because I had the toughest time just "TRYING" to use it.Want John Frieda Flat Finish 1-Inch Straightener Discount?
I've been straightening my hair every day for more years than I can remember. Straighteners are amazing. I love them. They work wonders on my hair. I have very thick hair. After I blow dry my hair "straight", it's full, wavy and frizzy. When I don't blow it dry, it looks something like Roseanne-Roseanna-Danna of Saturday Night Live fame. That is to say, my hair is curly, frizzy and BIG. In my opinion, a good straightening iron should be able to straighten and smooth my hair from either it's blown dry or air dried state. This straightener was able to do that...but with difficulty. The difficulty was not in the straightening itself. The parts of my hair I was able to straightened turned out great. The problem with this straightener is 100% in the design. The design is terrible! The on/off button and the up/down heat buttons are right where you need to place your hand to hold the straightener. I lost count of the number of times I either turned the heat down accidentally or even turned the whole thing off altogether! I could feel my fingers, hand, thumb (whichever) pushing down on the buttons but there was nothing I could do to stop it. I readjusted my hands in every possible position to find a way to hold the thing without some part of my hand eventually hitting those buttons. I was starting to get cramps in my hand just trying to manipulate the thing. I managed to straighten my hair with my thumb grabbing between the two sets of buttons but it was a very awkward way to hold it, making it very difficult to work on my hair safely and efficiently. And even then I kept bumping into the buttons and accidentally turning down the heat or turning off the unit. When I tried to use the straightener on my daughter I had to give up. The angle which I needed to hold it to straighten someone else's hair was not compatible with how my hand had to grib the straightener so as to not hit the buttons. It was a disaster.
The straightener I currently use has a slide on/off switch and a dial to adjust the heat and it's way at the bottom of the iron. The buttons on this unit are spread out across the bottom of the unit in such a way as to make it impossible to grip.
Otherwise, the unit is light and works well. If they redesign it and change the type of buttons so you can't accidentally hit them, it would be a good straightener. Unfortunately, it's too frustrating and uncomfortable to use the way it is now.

I found this dryer and was hesitant to pay twice as much for it as I did the previous ones. I couldn't imagine what could be special enough about it to justify two and a half times the cost.
When I tried it, I was quite surprised. The first thing I noticed is that it is heavier and feels very solid and well built. I don't care about the weight--it takes me only a minute or two to dry my medium-length (for a man) hair. The next surprise was that it is extremely quiet--even at high speed. I no longer have to turn up my radio to hear the news while drying my hair. It has independent controls for heat and speed. I usually like to use high heat with the low speed so it doesn't blow my hair so much. The 5-foot cord retracts slowly and safely and is just the perfect length for my situation.
I would not describe the quietness of the dryer as slightly better than the cheaper driers I have used before--it is a dramatic difference. I have often wondered about the potential hearing loss my old dryers might cause, but didn't worry too much because it didn't take very long to dry my hair. If I still had long hair, I would be seriously concerned about the noise from a cheap dryer.
As for how well my hair looks after using it, I notice no difference from the other dryers. My hair if very fine and thick with some wave, so it is pretty easy to care for. It will frizz in high humidity, but I live in Denver and humidity is not a problem here. I have not tried this in a humid environment.
I highly recommend this dryer.
Update on 2010-10-17: This dryer is still working great and I still consider it the best dryer I've ever used.
Update on 2011-12-29: I cut my hair shorter last April and no longer use the hair dryer. It was still working perfectly after three years. So this is a Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic Dryer. What's in it for Me?
(For model specific info, skip down to the *******)
Ionic. Ceramic. Tourmaline. If you've shopped for a hair dryer or flipped through a beauty magazine in the past few years you've likely seen these buzz words. Yet what do they mean to you, the consumer?
"Ceramic" The coil (the component of the hairdryer that heats the air to dry the hair) is made of ceramic which heats more evenly than a metal coil purported to cause less damage to hair.
"Ionic" Very simply, "ions" are atoms or molecules with a positive or negative charge because the atom has gained or lost an electron. Great! but what does that have to do with hairdryers? According to hair dryer manufacturers, "instead of taking the air from the room and heating it, an ionic hair dryer uses negative ions to shrink the water droplets in hair . . . [helping] dry hair faster and with less damage, making it smooth and shiny." However, an environmental engineer can tell you there is no strong science to back up this claim. If you're unsure then just realize that all hairdryers still have coils which heat the air to dry the hair. (see above)
"Tourmaline" a type of gemstone touted by hair dryer manufacturers to produce more ions and therefore dry hair even faster with less damage. (see above) This claim also unproven by hard science.
Yet despite the lack of science to back the claim that Ceramic and or Tourmaline Ionic hair dryers "help smooth the cuticle layer creating silky, shiny hair [with] less frizz and more manageability" users continue to report the hairdryers do just that. Even consumer tests report this technology dries hair up to 70% faster.
Is there a placebo effect?
At this point in the game it no longer matters. Because the overwhelming majority of the dryers on the market today are either ionic, ceramic, or both and you can now purchase models with these features without any additional cost over models without these features it is no longer necessary to agonize whether or not it's "worth it" to plunk down $300 just to see for yourself. What you should do instead is evaluate the hair dryers other features.
*****************************************
And on those "other" features I can heartily recommend this hairdryer.
(in order from most important feature to least)
*The three heat settings and two speed settings are separate buttons, plus one of those "cool shot" buttons that were all the buzz a few years back. This is a very important and often missing feature for hairdryers, especially for dryers in the lower price range. If you don't have the speed and heat settings on separate buttons then you only have two options "high speed with hot heat" or "low speed with low heat." Despite the new technology, it's always been recommended not to simultaneously use the highest heat stetting at the same time you use the highest speed setting because the potential to damage the hair shaft is higher. That leaves you with "low speed with low heat" which takes *forever* to dry your hair. With the speed and heat settings on separate buttons you have the option to dry your hair on high speed but with lower heat or high heat but lower speed which are the best options to dry your hair quickly and safely. The third button, the "cool shot," is used at the end of drying to cool the hair quickly to help it "set."
*Retractable chord anything that helps keep your home less cluttered is a bonus. Wrapping the cord around the body of the dryer is damaging so the retractable chord feature is a wonderful bonus.
*You also get concentrator and a diffuser attachments which come on many but not all dryers.
-The diffuser is for curly or other styles that can get blown out with the direct application of a jet of air. Also great for heat setting rollers that would get frizzy with direct air.
-The concentrator (that small attachment you normally throw away) serves the opposite purpose and is excellent for straightening and styling hair or training bangs.
*Removable filter a common feature that helps to keep lint and hair out of the moving parts. Can be removed for periodic rinsing to maintain dryer performance.

I regularly have to dry my daughters hair (she's 10). Being a ham-fisted male, I have a hard time working with some of the arcane tools I've been provided (a hair iron?). I just finished using this dryer on her hair and it works great, even for me.The device is designed very well. The retractable cord makes the dryer easy to store and retrieve. The settings are very simple to use and with only a few available, I'm not spending all kinds of time figuring out which ones to take advantage of. The high heat setting was not at all uncomfortable for me or my daughter, but with the trigger to switch on cool air, if my hands or her head got hot, we had quick relief if needed. It dried her hair very fast, but I could tell that it wasn't damaging the hair as it did it. The attachment that dries and untangles proved to big for my daughters shorter hair, but she may grow into it. I used the the funnel attachment quite a lot because it made controlling the flow & direction of the air much easier. I found the noise level to be really low compared with hair dryers I've used in the past.
We were both very happy with the experience. Best of all for my daughter, the dryer is pink, which won her over pretty quickly. It really seems like a sophisticated hair dryer and I anticipate quite a lot of use. Comes with 2 attachments for air distribution control Diffuser and Concentrator
Spec: 1875 watts
110-125 volts AC at 60hz
Pros:
-Ionic technology produces negative ions to neutralize the generally positive charges on the hair which helps to eliminate static
-As an electrical engineer, one of the first things I noticed is the presence of great safety device at the end of the cord. The ALCI or Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter, much like a GFCI or ground fault current interrupter. If the device sense a short circuit which is similar to what happens when the dryer falls in the tub, the electrical current will automatically get disconnected which can be a lifesaving factor. GFCI is now mandatory for all new bathroom constructions, but if you travel or happens to be in an old house that is not equipped with a GFCI, then it is good to know that it is a built-in device in your dryer.
-Retractable cord
-Some dryers only have a 4 ft cord. The additional foot is a big advantage.
-3 heat settings
-2 speed settings
Cons:
-A bit bulky & heavy

Infiniti by Conair 223F Cord Reel DryerNoise data included good job overall
Here are some points not discussed elsewhere. The Infinity is a medium weight hairdryer heft wise. The plastic construction is tight so it feels solid in your hands. It does a good enough a job drying hair (not significantly faster or slower than any other 1875 watt dryer). I like the removable filter which is mounted fairly flush with the back of the housing. I had others where the filter screen was the back of the housing, if you laid it down the wrong way the screen mounting tabs broke off too easily. Here is a tip for cleaning the plastic windowscreen like filter underneath; I used to clean it with tweezers to pull off the accumulated lint about once a month. I now use a Q-tip, simply touch the tip against the lint, twirl, and the lint gets tangled in the Q-tip and comes right off.
In use the dryer is pretty well balanced, and what surprised me, fairly quiet as well. It is not advertised as a particularly quiet model, which is important to me, but it is. I found that dryers with large diameter air inlets and outlets are usually quieter. Larger fan diameter equals slower and less noisy fan. This one was noticeably quieter than some other ones I have used, and the noise is slightly lower pitch and not as shrill. I decided to do a noise comparison of all the dryers we had in the house and sure enough, per minute of drying time, the Infinity was the second quietest. What was more surprising is how noisy these things are, not just objectively but subjectively as well. 86 dBA is LOUD. I tested all of them with a noise level meter held 12" away at a right angle to the discharge of air. Here are the results:
Revlon Quiet Ceramic 1875 High=80 dBA Low=71 dBA
Conair Infinity 1875 High=83 dBA Low=79 dBA
Remington All That 1875 High=86 dBA Low=76 dBA (very shrill)
Windmere MTD1CP ~1200 High=82 dBA Low=71 dBA (travel dryer, v. slow)
So, other than my specifically quiet Revlon, and the flea size Windmere, the Infinity was very quiet. A good value, and a pleasure to use. PS. I do not recommend that you use the self retracting cord feature without holding the cord with the other hand. It does snap back, and it just feels like a gimmick feature that will break if you use it too often.

After years of trying many, many different hair styling products I FINALLY found one that WORKS!! I love this product. I tried it out for a few days before leaving a review and wow, five stars...my hair gets better everyday.I put a quarter size amount all through my shoulder length hair after getting out of the shower (a very little bit goes a long way!) and then let my hair dry half-way naturally. Then, I finish drying with a blow dryer with my head upside down. When I flip my head back up, every hair falls into place! No frizz, no flyaways, no frustration! Every single hair is straight and my head feels gloriously soft. I curl the ends under with a flat iron (also CHI) and then I'm done. 20 minutes of hair styling when it used to take me hours to tame my frizz hair. Thank you, CHI!!

this is a great product. I have medium hair that grows out wavy. I am in the process of growing out my relaxer. I use three Chi products and will continue to use them after my relaxer has grown all the way out. I use Chi blowdryer and Chi and Solia flat iron. I love my soft, gleaming hair. You cannot tell the difference between my new growth relaxer once I am done. I also use Wen as my cleanser and conditioner.TIGI S-Factor Flat Iron Spray 4.23 oz.

The whole TiGi S Factor line is excellent! The only product I do not like is the Smoothing Lusterizer.. It is too heavy. The flat iron shine spray is lightweight, and smells great! It does not make your hair look heavy, oily and unwashed. I use it everyday, even when I do not use my flat iron. I have thin hair that does not do very much and often looks frizzy, I recommend this whole line of products, especially the shine spray, shampoo and conditioner and the seriously straight straightner.Read Best Reviews of TIGI S-Factor Flat Iron Spray 4.23 oz. I love this productmy hair is fine, color treated, brazilian blown out and long.
i've never had shine like this.
i apply it to my hair dry just before using the flat iron, or just near the end of my blow dry even if i;m not flat ironing it.
great dispensermists the product, so you don't over apply
great smella little fruity
might get a little heavyso apply the mist by section, but only to the lower ends, not the roots
low/no alcohol contentso it won't dry your hair (always read the ingredient lists, and stay away from alcohol based products) Good shine spray the smell is the best part (in my opinion like grape candy.) It's not super-heavy like some silicone products; because it sprays I feel it's better for fine hair. The pump dispenses just enough product per spray (so you don't accidentally grease-ify yourself after your blowout) which is a plus. I hold it about 4" away, spray on a section of dry hair, then immediately flatiron. It can smoke a little bit but because it's a thermal protectant I don't worry about it. I haven't used it in wet hair so I can't judge based on that use. One star off because the consistency makes it tend to leak slightly around the base of the pump.

I was very excited about getting my new herstyler colorful seasons 7 purple/ I hate it. It does not work properly and at the ends of the hair it always catches and pulls the hair leaving a bad look and damages the hair. It did significant damage to my hair before I gave it up. Should have sooner. Do Not Bury This Product.Exactly as expected. Thank you! I would purchase this again if or when I am in the market again. Purchased for my daughter. We have ordered this before and once again the value for this product is terrific. It was a gift and arrived in a very timely manner. We are very pleased.
